Governor Ridwan Kamil of West Java, Indonesia, recently commemorated the inauguration of the Bentaus Bitcoin Academy alongside members of the NYC Bitcoin community. This milestone event included the ribbon-cutting ceremony for a collaborative course with Florida State College at Jacksonville, marking the inception of the Bitcoin Blockchain technician course in both locations. Governor Kamil, a prominent advocate for Bitcoin, was honored with a diploma during the ceremony and is scheduled to address the Bitcoin 2023 conference in Miami Beach, sharing his vision to position Indonesia as a global leader in Bitcoin technology.
Bentaus Energy, the visionary company behind this initiative, formalized its commitment through a Master Training and Education Services Agreement to develop the comprehensive Bitcoin Blockchain technician course. Specifically focusing on bitcoin mining operations, the hands-on curriculum aims to equip students with technical proficiency in one of today’s fastest-growing emerging technologies.
Structured into five modules covering networking, electronics concepts and repair, hardware maintenance, security and finance, and philosophy, the course is tailored for high school graduates or equivalent. A prerequisite includes basic knowledge in math, science, and finance theory. Renowned industry expert Robert Davidoff, Bentaus founder and CEO of a mining company, will personally conduct the course, drawing from his extensive real-world experience.
Kicking off at the Florida State College at Jacksonville, the course will feature a state-of-the-art lab equipped with three S19s across two campuses. Thirty students will pioneer the inaugural class, setting the foundation for future cohorts. The Department of Economic Opportunity of Tallahassee, Florida, approved the course through a Fintech Grant, reflecting the program’s alignment with cutting-edge developments in the financial technology sector.
With an eye toward the future, Bentaus Energy plans to donate the course content to Indonesia, catalyzing exciting technological advancements in the country. Robert Davidoff himself will journey to Indonesia to inaugurate the first-ever course, underscoring the company’s commitment to fostering knowledge transfer.
“The goal of this course is to provide a hands-on approach, serving as an introduction to empower students with strong fundamentals in one of the fastest-growing emerging technologies today,” explained Davidoff. “It also serves as an ideal springboard for those considering vocational school or pursuing apprenticeships in fields such as electrical or HVAC technology.”
